Cancels new energy standards for walk-in coolers and freezers
Ends a Department of Energy rule that set tighter energy limits for walk-in coolers and freezers, so non-display doors and refrigeration systems would not have to meet the new standards.
- Cancels the Energy Department rule issued December 23, 2024
- Walk-in non-display doors would no longer have to meet the new limits by December 23, 2027
- Walk-in refrigeration systems would no longer have to meet the new limits by December 31, 2028
