Bars federal money from paying for automated license plate readers and biometric cameras, and requires agencies and federal fund recipients to remove existing ones within 180 days.
- No federal money for buying, running, or renewing contracts for these cameras
- Agencies and groups getting federal funds must remove them within 180 days
- Cameras within a mile of the northern or southern border for border security are exempt
- Cameras paid for with highway funds are allowed if used only to collect tolls
