Blocks tariff cuts on imported beef
Voids a presidential proclamation on affordable beef and bars the president from lowering tariffs on imported beef unless Congress passes a law or declares an emergency.
- Nullifies Presidential Proclamation 11059 of August 26, 2026, and bars spending federal money to carry it out
- The president or other officials may not waive, suspend, or reduce tariffs or fees on imported beef
- A reduction could still happen if Congress passes it into law
- A reduction could also happen if a state of emergency is declared over the domestic beef supply
