Blocks moving four Education Department offices
Stops the Education Department from handing four of its offices and their programs to other federal agencies, and requires regular reports to Congress on any new agreements.
- Covers special education, postsecondary education, Indian education, and elementary and secondary education offices
- Also blocks moving a program to another department office first, then to another agency
- Agreements already in place on February 1, 2025 can remain
- The department must report to Congress every three months on new agreements and their costs
