Bars official funds for first-class congressional flights

Members of Congress could not use official travel money for airline seats above coach class starting in fiscal year 2027, unless a medical disability or other special need requires it.

• Applies to Representatives, Senators, Delegates and the Resident Commissioner
• Exception allowed when a medical disability or other special need requires it
• Rules would be written by the House and Senate committees that oversee each chamber
• Applies starting in fiscal year 2027 and each year after
