Creates visa and green card path for public service workers
Creates a new visa class for people working public service jobs and lets some who came to the U.S. as children apply for permanent resident status.
- Public service jobs include emergency management, teaching, health care, social work and nonprofits
- The new visa lasts three years and can be renewed once, and spouses and children can work
- Immigrants who came as children and worked 2 years in public service jobs could apply for a green card
- People with DACA status could join AmeriCorps national service programs
