Writes White House Fellows Program into law
Turns the White House Fellows Program, started by executive order in 1964, into federal law, with 11 to 19 paid fellows chosen each year and yearly reports to Congress.
- Chosen fellows work 12 months, extendable by up to 3 months, at federal pay rates
- 11 to 19 fellows are recommended each year, subject to available funding
- Federal employees cannot apply, but active-duty military members can
- Money is authorized for the program for the years 2027 through 2031
