Ends restaurant meal purchases under food aid program
Removes the option for states to let people pay for restaurant meals with food assistance, including meals served to older adults, people with disabilities and people without homes.
- People could no longer use food assistance to buy restaurant meals
- States could no longer contract with restaurants to serve meals at lower prices
- Meals for older adults, people with disabilities and people without homes would end
- Takes effect 180 days after the law passes
