Adds money and programs to improve the 988 suicide and crisis lifeline, train crisis workers, build crisis centers, and have Medicare cover crisis services.
- Provides $441 million in 2027 for local crisis call centers to upgrade technology, train workers, and hire staff
- Provides $1 billion for building or updating crisis facilities and health centers
- Makes Medicare pay for crisis response services, including mobile teams and crisis centers
- Raises the crisis response partnership pilot from $10 million to $100 million each year from 2027 through 2029
