Requires drone makers to give safety statements to new owners
Drone makers would have to give first-time operators a safety statement about laws and airspace rules, and have them confirm electronically that they read it.
- First-time operators must electronically confirm they read and understand the statement
- The statement must cover laws, airspace restrictions, safety tips, and possible penalties
- The Federal Aviation Administration must issue an example statement within 120 days
- The agency must review the requirements within 18 months, then every year after
