Lets Coast Guard chief sign support-sharing deals

Gives the Coast Guard's top officer the power to make agreements with state and local governments for base support services, and requires telling Congress within 60 days.

• The agreements cover installation-support services, such as shared base services
• Congress would be notified in writing within 60 days of using the authority
• The notice must describe any agreements made
