Bans political robocalls to do-not-call numbers
Tells the Federal Trade Commission to change do-not-call rules so political recorded calls cannot be made to numbers on the list.
- Applies to recorded calls with no live person on the line
- Covers calls for or against candidates, political issues, or donations
- Also covers recorded messages that say a candidate's name
- The commission must make the change within 180 days of the law passing
