Creates a government database of chemical fingerprints for tomatoes used in paste and other products, so inspectors can check where they were grown.

• The Agriculture Department would collect tomato samples from the United States and other countries
• Researchers would study better ways to test a tomato's geographic origin
• The department would work with border agents on using the database for import checks
• A report to Congress would be due within 2 years
