Waives small business loan fees for career police officers
Law enforcement officers with at least 10 years of service would not pay federal guarantee fees on certain Small Business Administration express loans, starting January 1, 2027.
- Covers officers who have served at least 10 years on the job
- The fee waiver starts January 1, 2027
- Officers facing a misconduct investigation or proceeding would not qualify
- The agency may still charge the fee if waiving it costs the government money
