Directs the National Institute of Standards and Technology to write standards for finding, identifying and monitoring artificial intelligence agents, and calls for proposed federal contract rules to match.
- Agency has 1 year to publish and keep updating the standards
- Standards cover identity checks, activity logs and monitoring for misuse
- Procurement council would propose contract rule changes 18 months after the standards come out
- Contracts signed before the law takes effect are left out
