Bans discrimination at coffee shops and cafes

Requires coffee shops, cafes, and tea houses that serve the public to serve everyone equally, whatever their religion, race, sex, gender identity, disability, veteran status, or other listed traits.

• Applies to places that mainly serve coffee, tea, or other light refreshments
• Covers religion, race, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, and more
• Violations would be handled the same way as existing public accommodation civil rights law
• Applies to shops whose operations affect commerce or where state action supports discrimination
