Extends Medicare drug plan premium demonstration
Keeps a Medicare program that aims to hold down prescription drug plan premiums running through 2029 and beyond, for people enrolled in Medicare drug plans.
- The program would continue for 2027, 2028 and 2029 much as it ran in 2026
- It would keep going after 2029 unless ending it would not raise drug plan premiums
- The health secretary would issue updated rules for how it runs in 2027 within 30 days of the law's passage
