Extends WIC eligibility and enrollment periods

Lets families who already get Medicaid, Head Start or certain food aid qualify for WIC, and stretches children's WIC coverage from one year to two.

• Children's WIC certification would last 2 years instead of 1
• Families with Medicaid, Head Start or some food aid could qualify for WIC without income paperwork
• Babies born to a parent on WIC would be enrolled without a new application
• States would check existing records before asking a family for new income documents
