Bans federal funds for new permanent Capitol fencing

Blocks the use of federal money to put up new permanent fencing around the Capitol buildings or grounds, while still allowing existing fencing to be fixed or replaced.

• No federal money could be spent on new permanent fencing around Capitol buildings
• The same ban covers the Capitol Grounds, including any part of them
• Fencing that existed when the bill became law could still be repaired or replaced
