Funds and speeds water projects in Colorado River Basin
Creates federal programs to pay for and speed up water supply projects in the Colorado River Basin for states, tribes, and water users.
- Would pay $2 in federal money for each $1 of non-federal money, up to a 66.7 percent federal share
- Would exempt certain water, energy, and infrastructure projects from a federal environmental review law
- Permit decisions would generally be due within 180 days after a complete application
- Would restore the Yuma Desalting Plant and support seawater desalination in Mexico
