Bans diesel fuel exports when prices stay high
Stops diesel fuel from being sold to other countries when the U.S. average retail price is above $5 a gallon for 14 straight days, until it stays below $4.50 for 30 straight days.
- Ban starts after 14 straight days with the average U.S. diesel price above $5 a gallon
- Ban ends after 30 straight days with that average price below $4.50 a gallon
- The Commerce Secretary would carry out the export ban
- Covers exports of diesel fuel to any country
