Within a year of the law passing, regional transportation planning groups whose members are all picked by a state governor must be re-formed or restructured to meet federal membership rules.
- Applies to regional groups that plan transportation for metro areas
- Applies only if every member was appointed by a state governor
- Within 1 year, these groups must be re-formed or restructured
- The new makeup must follow membership rules already in federal transportation law
