Blocks trade benefits for countries not enforcing environmental laws
Changes a U.S. trade program so that sub-Saharan African countries that do not enforce their environmental laws or meet international environmental duties can no longer take part.
- Amends the African Growth and Opportunity Act, a U.S. trade program for sub-Saharan Africa
- Countries that do not effectively enforce their own environmental laws would be left out
- Countries that do not fulfill their international environmental obligations would be left out
