Brings back tax credits that help pay for health insurance for people lawfully present in the U.S., and lets states cover more people through their Basic Health Program.
- Brings back health insurance tax credits for people lawfully present in the U.S
- Counts some lawfully present immigrants below the poverty line as eligible if they cannot get Medicaid
- Lets states raise the income limit for their Basic Health Program to between 200% and 250% of the poverty line
- Applies to tax years beginning after December 31, 2025
