Sellers of used vehicles would have to keep airbags working or tell buyers when an airbag is missing or turned off.

• Applies to sales through auctions, dealerships, and individual sellers
• Sellers must keep the airbag system working, or say plainly if it is missing or disabled
• Covers used motor vehicles sold through any resale channel
