H.R. 10795
Sets up U.S.-Sudan agriculture and minerals trade deal
Would let the U.S. send farm and mining equipment and know-how to Sudan in exchange for minerals, but only after Sudan's civilian leaders show less violence and better governance.
- Partnership cannot start until the Secretary of State confirms progress on civilian protection and governance
- U.S. would supply farm equipment, irrigation, mining gear, mine safety and cleanup technology
- In exchange, the U.S. would get gold, uranium, oil, copper, iron and other minerals
