Raises ranks of top military lawyers
Sets the ranks of the top military lawyers: three-star grades for the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps legal chiefs, and two-star grades for Army, Navy and Air Force deputies.
- Army and Air Force Judge Advocates General would hold the rank of lieutenant general while serving
- Navy Judge Advocate General would hold the rank of vice admiral or lieutenant general while serving
- Marine Corps Staff Judge Advocate to the Commandant would be appointed lieutenant general
- Deputy Judge Advocates General in the Army, Navy and Air Force would be appointed major general or rear admiral
