Removes the end date from a 1996 law so the President must keep imposing sanctions on certain people and companies tied to Iran's energy and weapons work.
- The 1996 Iran Sanctions Act would no longer expire
- Sanctions target dealings with Iran's energy sector
- Sanctions also cover efforts to get chemical, biological or nuclear weapons
- The President can make some exceptions
