H.R. 2034
Expands a veterans STEM scholarship
Makes more veterans and service members eligible for up to nine extra months of GI Bill education benefits, capped at $30,000, for science, technology, engineering, math, or health care degrees.
- Drops the rule that veterans must have under 180 days of GI Bill benefits left
- Lowers the number of credits needed to qualify by 25%
- Lets the VA prioritize applicants who used the most months and those in certain fields
- The extra benefit can only be used after all GI Bill benefits are used up
