Removes less-than-lethal devices from gun law rules
Takes devices like certain stun guns out of the federal gun law system and gives the government 90 days to decide if a device counts as less-than-lethal.
- Devices like some stun guns would no longer be regulated under the main federal gun law
- A device counts as less-than-lethal if it cannot fire common ammunition faster than 500 feet per second
- It also must be made not to likely cause death or serious injury, and cannot take a ammo feeder
- The federal alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives agency must decide within 90 days of a request
