Requires yearly training for VA military trauma claims staff
Department of Veterans Affairs staff who handle military sexual trauma claims would get yearly sensitivity training, and the department would have to collect more service records for those claims.
- Training would be updated at least once a year
- The department would report yearly on the training and any plans to expand it
- Must obtain the claimant's service medical record, plus the personnel record if evidence is lacking
- Must report to Congress on training for contracted examiners and plans to avoid retraumatizing veterans
