Plans to block drone technology exports to Iran
Orders three U.S. departments to write plans to keep Iran from getting foreign-made parts and software used to build and fly drones.
- Commerce must plan to stop illegal exports of microcontrollers, voltage regulators and microprocessors to Iran
- State must plan to stop shipments of those parts from the U.S. and allied countries
- Defense must list ways the armed forces could block Iran from getting drone design software and machine tools
