Sends VA doctors to treat veterans in U.S. territories
Lets the Department of Veterans Affairs assign its doctors to work for up to a year at veterans health facilities in U.S. territories.
- Doctors could serve as traveling physicians for up to one year
- Places include Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa and the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Traveling doctors would receive a relocation or retention bonus
- Doctors would work with non-VA providers when needed to coordinate care
