Expands who can give veterans disability exams
Lets more kinds of health care workers, including dentists and pharmacists, give veterans exams for disability benefits, and keeps that program going through January 2031.
- Only outside doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, audiologists and psychologists can do these exams now
- Adds dentists, pharmacists and others eligible for certain veterans health jobs
- Extends the program through January 5, 2031
- The Department of Veterans Affairs must report on how it uses the expanded program
