Speeds up hardrock mining on federal land
Directs the Interior Department to identify and speed up hardrock mining projects on federal land and to suspend, revise, or rescind agency actions it finds burdensome.
- Interior must find priority mining projects that can be approved right away
- Must identify active, inactive, or proposed mines that could produce more hardrock minerals
- Must suspend, revise, or rescind agency actions that it finds place undue burdens on mining
- Must report on the economic impact of relying on imports for certain minerals
