Requires yearly review of rules for selling weapons abroad
Requires the State Department to review each year which military goods must be sold through the U.S. government and which could instead be sold directly by U.S. companies to foreign governments.
- Review would compare how long each kind of sale takes to complete
- Would look at the effect on State and Defense Department workloads
- Would assess benefits to U.S. national security and competitiveness
- State Department must report results to Congress within 30 days
