Expands what counts as a venture capital investment
Requires the Securities and Exchange Commission to let venture capital funds treat investments bought from other investors and investments in other venture funds as qualifying investments.
- Lets venture capital funds count investments bought from other investors as qualifying
- Lets them count investments in other venture capital funds as qualifying
- To qualify as a venture capital fund, most investments must still be direct or in other funds
- Under current rules, such investments can make up no more than 20% of a fund
