Ends D.C. judicial nomination commission

The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission would be ended, removing its role in recommending judges and giving the President the job of appointing chief judges.

• The commission currently recommends nominees for D.C. Superior Court and Court of Appeals judges
• The bill ends the commission's role in those nominations
• The President would appoint the chief judges of both courts, a job the commission now handles
