Ends government shutdown with funding into January 2026
Ends the shutdown that began October 1, 2025, funding most federal agencies through January 30, 2026 and some programs for the full year.
- Most agencies keep 2025 funding levels through January 30, 2026, or until their spending bills pass
- Agriculture, veterans affairs, military construction and legislative branch funded through September 30, 2026
- Furloughed federal workers get back pay; agencies barred from starting layoffs before January 30, 2026
- States and grantees that paid for federal programs during the shutdown can be reimbursed
