Studies digital records in aviation supply chain

Directs the Government Accountability Office to study what makes digital documents and verification hard to use in the aviation supply chain, to help find fake paperwork and counterfeit parts.

• The report to Congress would include ways to get the aviation industry to use digital forms and authentication tools
• It would also cover ways to speed up the Federal Aviation Administration's move to digital documents
• The Transportation Department must respond to the report's recommendations within 120 days
