Raises penalties for making fake fentanyl pills

Increases criminal penalties for having or selling equipment used to make fentanyl and fake pills, and requires federal agencies to plan enforcement and prevention work.

• Having or selling gear used to illegally make fentanyl would carry a higher criminal penalty
• The Drug Enforcement Administration must write and carry out a plan against fake fentanyl and meth pills
• The Justice Department must report each year on pills seized by police and related prosecutions
