Manufacturers of internet-connected devices with a camera or microphone must tell buyers before purchase that the device includes one.
- Applies to internet-connected devices such as smart appliances
- The disclosure must happen before the device is purchased
- Does not apply to phones, laptops, or devices where a camera or microphone is expected
