Blocks workers' comp payments to providers convicted of fraud
Lets the Labor Department stop paying medical providers who were convicted of fraud under the federal workers' compensation program or similar health programs.
- Covers providers convicted of fraud in the federal workers' compensation program, a similar state program, or Medicare
- Payments that can be suspended include those for services, appliances, or supplies
- Also covers certain upfront costs paid by an employing agency for such a provider
- The Labor Department must write rules to carry this out
