Marks 50 years of women at service academies
A resolution marking 50 years since women were first admitted to the military service academies and honoring the women who entered in 1976.
- A 1975 law required the military, naval, air and coast guard academies to admit women
- In 1976, 119 women entered West Point, 81 the Naval Academy, 157 the Air Force Academy and 38 the Coast Guard Academy
- Honors the women who joined the Class of 1980 and the women who graduated after them
- Asks the academies to keep recording and sharing this history
