Calls for a federal job guarantee
A non-binding House resolution says the federal government should guarantee a job to anyone who wants one, paying at least $25 an hour with benefits.
- States it is the duty of the federal government to create a federal job guarantee
- Jobs would pay at least $25 an hour, plus health insurance, paid leave and retirement benefits
- Open full-time or part-time to adults 18 and over, part-time to ages 16 and 17
- Would be run by the Department of Labor with state, local and tribal governments
