Commemorates 50th anniversary of shuttle Enterprise rollout
A House resolution marking 50 years since the first Space Shuttle orbiter, Enterprise, was shown to the public in Palmdale, California, and honoring the workers who built and tested it.
- Enterprise was rolled out publicly at the Rockwell plant in Palmdale on September 17, 1976
- It was named after a write-in campaign by Star Trek fans
- Enterprise flew five free flight tests above Edwards Air Force Base
- The resolution honors the Antelope Valley engineers, technicians and workers
