Backs one patient definition for health centers
Says community health centers should keep using a single, year-long definition of a patient for all services, including discounted prescription drugs, instead of separate definitions for each service.
- About 1,400 health centers serve over 32 million people at more than 16,000 sites
- A patient is currently anyone with at least one visit in a year across listed service types
- The resolution says service-by-service definitions would limit covered care
- Includes drugs bought through a federal discount drug pricing program
