H.Res. 1563
Broadens House earmark financial interest certification
Under House rules, members would have to certify that their spouse, immediate family, and businesses they have a financial stake in have no financial interest in an earmark or limited tax or tariff benefit.
- Adds immediate family members and businesses they hold stakes in to the certification
- Counts interests from business assets that could rise in value due to an earmark's location
- Members would certify no direct or indirect financial interest exists
