Urges states to keep Medicaid coverage during cancer care
Encourages states to use Medicaid records to exempt people in cancer treatment from work requirements, so their coverage is not cut off.
- States are urged to find cancer patients using Medicaid claims and health records
- Patients would not have to repeatedly prove the same medical facts
- If records are not enough, a note from the treating doctor could be accepted
- States should give notice and a chance to claim an exemption before ending coverage
