Expands background checks to contractors and licensees
Lets groups that serve children and vulnerable adults run background checks on their contractors, on people who work for those contractors, and on people they license or certify.
- Groups can check contractors they hire and people who seek those contracts
- Also covers employees and volunteers of a contractor, and those who want such roles
- Also covers people a group licenses or certifies to provide care
- Updates the National Child Protection Act of 1993 to name these people
